SDC Group

Who are we?

SDC Group is a leading civil concrete construction company based in Queensland’s Sunshine Coast. With management and crews based in Toowoomba, Gold Coast, Wide Bay (Burnett), Central Queensland and North Queensland, the SDC Group is quickly becoming the States most flexible and reliable concrete construction organisation in the country.

Today, SDC represents more than a concrete construction company. Beyond developing the brand, SDC Group has initiatives with private and Governmental organisations for the growth and development of both individuals and the regions in which they live. A key driver for the Company Director, Dennis Mohamed, is his passion to see young people find opportunities to develop work skills and confidence within a trade. This passion has proven fruitful over the last three decades and he is proud to have assisted many individuals towards finding fulfilment in learning to work.

SDC Group is a Queensland success story! From the humble beginnings of an Indigenous man from the North of the State who needed to provide for his young family on the Sunshine Coast, the SDC brand has grown to become a recognised partner of many of the States most respected commercial and civil building firms and Government projects. SDC’s focus on quality leadership coupled with accountable workmanship is setting the company apart within the industry.

Vision

Our Vision

1

To build a leading brand in civil concrete construction by quality service and accountable workmanship.

2

To build pathways for young people and future leaders, assisting them to find employment, confidence and personal satisfaction within a workforce.

Community

SDC in the community

SDC Group is committed to the communities in which it works. A percentage of all our revenues goes back into assisting local groups and initiatives for the improvement of communities and individuals. Below are some of the recent initiatives that we have assisted in around the great State of Queensland as well as in Papua New Guinea.

North Queensland

Club Fight Back

SDC Group is always looking to promote other groups and charities that dedicate themselves towards building opportunities for young people.
Club Fight Back supports young men to attain higher levels of education, learn traditions and customs that will make them proud, strong indigenous men and uses boxing to develop discipline.

South Brisbane

Housing Estate

With the high volume of residential and civil projects in Queensland’s South East, Dennis Mohamed believes that many businesses can benefit from the commercial value while at the same time use the projects as an opportunity to improve the lives of young people through teaching disciplined thought and action. This approach has helped dozens of young men find rewarding work pathways throughout the years.

Papua New Guinea

Training Locals

Dennis Mohamed has invested his own time and resources to train men in gaining skills in concreting. Pictured here is Dennis with young men from the town of Nonga in Papua New Guinea’s Britian Island who were working on a Church property in the community. Most of these men had no prior experience in concreting but quickly developed the necessary skills required for basic trade work.
